Lansing Roller Derby | 2024 Season Bout 3

From n/a to 8:30PM

On Saturday May 4th, the doubleheader will start at 4:30pm Lansing A vs Rockford Rage. The second bout starts at 6:30pm Lansing B vs Lafayette Roller Derby. The doors will be open at Court One Training Center, 7868 Old M-78, East Lansing, MI, at 4:00pm. Tickets will be available for purchase online at https://ticketstripe.com for a discounted price of $12 plus processing fee. Tickets will always be available at the door and are $15; children 12 and under get in free (one per paying adult). Concessions and adult beverages are now offered in house. If you’re unable to watch in person, the game will be live streamed, starting at 4:00pm, on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjs2JEmxWPOy3iWY9bgZ8BQ The rules of roller derby can be quite confusing, so make sure to watch the informational videos before the first bout starts. The Mayfair Bar will be hosting the after party at 8:30pm for those who would like to celebrate with the teams afterwards. Damon Long (Lansing Native) Has a cameo in the film. Synopsis: Kwame Alexander, a young boy, dreams of having a dad. He receives an assignment to present an essay on his family tree. Kwame takes the assignment home and questions his mother about his deceased father. Kwame’s mother avoids answering the question by insisting on talking about it at another time. Determined to learn more, Kwame uncovers new information about his father and believes his dreams are now reality. This discovery sends Kwame on a journey that will change his life forever.
