On Saturday May 4th, the doubleheader will start at 4:30pm Lansing A vs Rockford Rage. The second bout starts at 6:30pm Lansing B vs Lafayette Roller Derby. The doors will be open at Court One Training Center, 7868 Old M-78, East Lansing, MI, at 4:00pm. Tickets will be available for purchase online at https://ticketstripe.com for a discounted price of $12 plus processing fee. Tickets will always be available at the door and are $15; children 12 and under get in free (one per paying adult). Concessions and adult beverages are now offered in house. If you’re unable to watch in person, the game will be live streamed, starting at 4:00pm, on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjs2JEmxWPOy3iWY9bgZ8BQ The rules of roller derby can be quite confusing, so make sure to watch the informational videos before the first bout starts. Woven Vessels International (WVI) will host its First Annual African Concert on October 28th, 2017. The concert will be held at the Michigan State University Community Music School located at 4930 S. Hagadorn Road in East Lansing, MI, beginning at 7:00 pm. Ticket purchases can be made online at the WVI website: http://www.wovenvesselsint.org/donate.html. Talent and music from different countries will be featured, including Burundi, Sudan, Liberia, Zimbabwe, the Congo, Tanzania, and South Africa. Special guests include recording artists Horn & Holland and Freddy Nyembwe. WVI invites the Greater Lansing and surrounding communities to attend.

The Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk will happen on Saturday, October 28th. All ages are welcoe to walk for free. Participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food donation to support the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Assembly begins in the Lansing Center by Exhibit Hall C at 3pm and the walk begins at 4pm.
