The Michigan State Police Lansing Post is hosting a Recruiting Orientation on Saturday October 27th at the Forum Room inside the Michigan Historical library located at 702 W. Kalamazoo Street in Lansing.
The State Police is seeking candidates to fill trooper and motor carrier officer schools that will begin in the spring of 2013.
This three-hour free session is open to anyone who has an interest in a career in law enforcement and wants to know more about MSP. The presentation will cover the selection process, academy training expectations and responsibilities of MSP troopers and motor carrier officers. Specialty Units from the MSP will be at the event, including displays from the Canine Unit, Emergency Support Team, Polygraph and Underwater Recovery Team.
