Over the weekend, HOT 97 held their annual Summer Jam festival which brought out acts such as J. Cole, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and even suprise guests such as Nas and Lauryn Hill for historical performances. Nicki Minaj was scheduled to take the main stage later in the evening, but comments from the station's own morning host, Peter Rosenberg forced the Young Money head to tweet that they would no longer take part in the show, hours before their scheduled performance. After failed attempts to reconcile, Funkmaster Flex took the stage to add his own comments on the night.
