Power 96.5 News

Frank Ocean has been on a tremendous run within this last year. Recording with Jay-Z & Kanye, releasing his first studio album, selling over 130K copies his first week and selling out every show on his tour. Drawing comparisons to a legend such as Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder was recently asked how he feels about Frank Ocean saying his first love was a man. Stevie responded saying

“Some people who think they’re gay, they’re confused…People can misconstrue closeness for love. People can feel connected, they bond. I’m not saying all gay people are confused"

Since those comments have been released people have raved and even have said that the comment was a direct insult to the "Novacane" hit maker-Ocean.

Stevie Wonder has then came out and re-adressed the situation by saying

"I’m sorry that my words about anyone feeling confused about their love were misunderstood. No one has been a greater advocate for the power of love in this world than I; both in my life and in my music. Clearly, love is love, between a man and a woman, a woman and a man, a woman and a woman and a man and a man. What I’m not confused about is the world needing much more love, no hate, no prejudice, no bigotry and more unity, peace and understanding. Period.”
