Early this morning former NFL receiver Chad Johnson posted a tweet stating that he would be arriving in Philadelphia at some point today.
The question is why. After the terrible incident with wife, Evelyn Lozada, Johnson was prematurely released from the Dolphins.
The media is tripping over the irony of Johnson's tweet and the fact that Tuesdays are traditionally the day that NFL teams have tryouts.
With 3 of the Eagles players out dues to injuries, the team may be looking to fill a few positions.
However, profootballtalk.nbc says that Johnson announced that he is taking a year off for himself.
Therefore all assumptions are just that for now. As a inside source tells NBC that Johnson is not scheduled for tryouts.
