“Fourteen years after the cult black hit The Best Man was released in theaters, Universal Studios has announced a release date for its sequel; November 15, 2013. The original starred Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard and Nia Long and grossed over $35 million at the box office. Malcolm D. Lee, who wrote, directed and co-produced the original, will resume all three roles for the sequel. Lee held a reunion cast dinner recently which sparked rumors of the sequel, but no word yet on which members of the 1999 film’s cast will appear in the new film.”
