Queen B has proven, once again, that she is untouchable.
Rumors swirled (we’re looking at you, The Sun), that the sizzling Beyoncé for H&M campaignimages were retouched to make Bey appear thinner. Then, the British tabloid reported that an “insider” alleged, “when Beyoncé found out they had edited the way her body really looked, she hit the roof.”
The insider added that Beyoncé “forced” H&M to use the original photos, saying, “she’s a true diva and was furious.” Today, an H&M spokesman has confirmed through The Sun that, while there had been “discussions” about the images, the final ads were not altered.
While we appreciate that this ‘insider’ brings to light Beyoncé’s fervent pride in her body, we get the feeling that their use of the word “diva” is far less liberating than it is in B’s song of the same name. Instead of making this a story about entitlement, her stand should be looked at as a matter of principle.
If the original re-touching rumors are true, we have to step back to being skeptical of H&M CEO Karl-John Persson’s claims that the company will be making a more substantial effort to use women of all sizes in their campaigns. After all, if they wanted to doctor Beyoncé’s curvaceous body, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of using the singer in the first place?
Persson can preach all he wants about H&M’s new approach to selecting models, but until we seemoresize-honest women on their billboards, there will be plenty of eye-rolling inside this office.

Now that Kenya Moore has gotten the attention she wanted by posting a throwback picture of herself with Jay-Z on Twitter, the reality TV star is trying to silence rumors created by that very image. The dated photograph, snapped on the set of Jay and Jermaine Dupri’s music video for “Money Ain’t a Thang”, shows Beyonce’s husband sitting in a ride with Moore.
The picture led many to believe that the two dated back in the day, especially since Moore decided to note that the image was taken “pre-Beyonce.”
After enough blogs and entertainment news websites picked up the story, Moore got on Twitter to set the record the straight:
“Sorry … but NO I never dated Jay-Z. Only worked on the video. He and @jermainedupri were true gentlemen. #dumbRumors #twirlonthat.”
(Yahoo) It's also well-worth mentioning that Kevin Durant did not announce this donation. Rather, the Red Cross was the first to point out Durant's contribution; and while we'd guess that Kevin will come out with a statement eventually, for now he is letting his donation do the talking.
Kanye West is angry … and letting out that anger on the “establishment”, despite being very much part of that establishment.
The rapper debuted two new songs over the weekend; the first on Friday night titled, “New Slaves”. Ye projected a video of himself rapping the tune on the sides of buildings in 66 cities, including New York, Chicago, Paris, Berlin and Sydney.
On the tune, the emotional rapper complains about the music industry that he willfully went into; the same industry that made him rich enough to wife-up Kim Kardashian, and rap about owning a Lamborghini Countach. The music is vintage Kanye, harkening back to his College Dropout days. That was when Mr. West rapped more about social issues and less about Yves Saint Laurent.
“I throw these Maybach keys / I wear my heart on my sleeve / I know that we the new slaves / I see the blood on the leaves,” West raps on the track. ”I see the blood on the leaves / I see the blood on the leaves / I know that we the new slaves / I see the blood on the leaves.”
West also appeared on Saturday Night Live where he debuted “Black Skinhead”.
To be a lead single from Beyoncé these days, you need four things: A syncopated, up-tempo beat, some stabs of brass or synths to go over it, a chorus of female shout-along voices (mostly Beyoncé’s), and a message of female empowerment.
(TMZ)--Mary J. Blige's financial woes have QUADRUPLED -- on top of the $900k she allegedly owes the Garden State, TMZ has learned MJB has been slapped with a $3.4 MILLION bill from Uncle Sam.
The IRS filed a federal tax lien against the Grammy winner, claiming she failed to pay all her income taxes for the years 2009 ($574,907.30), 2010 ($2,203,743.53) and 2011 ($647,604.60).
Tax bill grand total: $3,426,255.43.
Of course, the IRS needs to get in line ... the State of NJ says MJB still owes $901,769.65 in back taxes. Blige is being sued for allegedly defaulting on a $2.2 million bank loan and her charity is facing a lawsuit that claims it took out a $250k loan and never paid it back.
From Clutch Magazine: There is a laundry list of celebrities in the spotlight who have been accused of bleaching — Beyonce, Dawn Richards and India.Arie to name a recent few — but they rarely offer an explanation for it beyond aggressive lighting. Tamar Braxton, the latest to find herself the subject of bleaching rumors, attributes changes in her complexion to the skin disease, vitiligo.
The star of “Braxton Family Values,” explained to Ebony Magazine that she’s suffered from the condition since she was a child and it worsened since she became pregnant. She also elucidates the effect it’s had on her self esteem:
Anybody with skin issues knows that that’s a very sensitive subject. And that’s why I’ve never shared that I have Vitiligo, because I do. I’ve always had it, since I was a young girl. It’s not as bad as others because everybody has it differently, but I’ve certainly had mine diagnosed. That’s why I tan. People say, “You bleach your skin!” But I tan just so I can have a better tone on my skin, boo!
The rumors were all true! Beyonce is pregnant again with her second child, multiple sources confirmed to E! News. The superstar singer took a "sick day" earlier this week from The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which only fueled speculations that she and Jay-Z are expecting.
Today the rumors were verified as accurate, according to E!. HuffPost will keeping updating this story as it develops. Rumors started running rampant last Monday when New York Post's Page Six described the singer's Met Gala dress by saying "Bey wore a Givenchy gown with a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection, but pictures have emerged on blogs of what looks like a baby bump from recent tour dates.
" As "proof," many media outlets relied on Beyonce's own quotes regarding children and her desire to give Blue Ivy -- her and Jay-Z's one-and-a-half year old daughter -- a sibling. "I would like more children," Beyonce told ABC News earlier this month. "I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister. At some point ... when it's supposed to happen."

We gon’ help people,” Sweet Brown said. “What Charles did was great. Because I have daughters and if my kids was missing that long I would want a good Samaritan to rescue my baby.
Don’t leave me in the dark. Let me baby come home. So what Charles Ramsey did… I think it was a good thing; thumbs up, Charles.
” In December Sweet Brown will make her big screen debut in Tyler Perry’s film adaptation of his play, A Madea Christmas. “We filmed it already,” Sweet Brown said. “Tyler is so awesome. “It’s gonna be hilarious. You’re gonna really crack up,” Sweet Brown says. As if she’s not busy enough, Sweet Brown also has a few products coming out later this year, including a game application, cookbook, and a BBQ sauce called Oh Lord Jesus it’s a FIRE. According to her agent, Sweet Brown will appear in a new movie alongside Gabrielle Union and Louis Gossett Jr. and also a comedy described as a female version of The Hangover.
(SheKnows.com)--Lots of celebrities have ended up as politicians. One, Ronald Reagan, even became president of the United States. A new survey wanted to know which current celebrity could become the next important politician, and the answer is not that surprising. The survey, conducted by Public Policy Polling, asked Americans which celebrity they would most like to see become president of the United States. According to MTV, the top answer was Justin Timberlake, with 34 percent of the vote.
Behind Timberlake in the poll, although not close behind, are Adele and Beyoncé. The singers received 19 and 14 percent of the vote, respectively. (Poll respondents apparently didn't take into account the fact that Adele is British.) Taylor Swift also received a favorable rating.
Only one artist was unanimously disliked by people of all three parties: Justin Bieber. According to MTV, 54 percent of Democrats, 56 percent of Republicans and 56 percent of Independents disliked the singer. However, he wasn't the only singer who was seen unfavorably. Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and Rihanna were also disliked.
Just when you’ve almost forgotten how powerful DMX spoken word pieces were, a video has emerged from his performance in St. Louis this past Friday. The footage, filmed before his highly-publicized sit-down with Iyanla Vanzant, shows DMX reciting the lines of his “Prayer” poem with such infliction that it almost looks as though he’s delivering a sermon.
A few of his poetic lines included:
Lord Jesus; you have brought me from a place so dark to the point, where I can now feel love in my heart
And I know it’s just a start, and there is more to come, So now I embrace it, when I used to run
Didn’t know what I was running from or running towards, ‘Til one day I saw it, I was running for the Lord
And when I came back, you accepted me with open arms and said, “All is forgiven,” and I became so strong
Transcribed: Lord Jesus; you have brought me from a place so dark to the point, where I can now feel love in my heart And I know it’s just a start, and there is more to come So now I embrace it, when I used to run Didn’t know what I was running from or, running towards ‘Til one day I saw it, I was running for the Lord And when I came back, you accepted me with open arms and said, “All is forgiven,” and I became so strong that, I can fight off the Devil with the spoken word SAYING, “Devil I rebuke you,” that’s all that was heard Cause no matter what I’ve been through, I could deal with it Because of what I went through, I was still fitted with the armor, that comes with the blood of Jesus Among evil and suffering, He sees us But when you’re LOST, He will lead the flock to find the one Just like any father trying to find his son And let me remind you, no matter where you’re at He will FIND you! And help you put the negative behind you LORD GIVE ME A SIGN! Please let me know you’re here Or at least, let me know, you’re near Remind me to call you, when we need you Remind me to call you, because we all need to AND GIVE US THE STRENGTH TO MAKE IT THROUGH JUST ONE MORE DAY! IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE PRAY!

Ja Rule is finally a free man. The Queens rapper was released from prison this morning (May 7).
A fellow Queens rapper, who happens to be familiar with the penal system, broke the news via Twitter. "Just spoke to @Ruleyork everybody tell him welcome home!!!," tweeted N.O.R.E. aka P.A.P.I. early this morning.
Ja's official fan site, RuleYork, confirmed the news, "The Rule York team is very proud and excited to announce that Ja Rule has been released from prison! Let's give him a warm welcome. Ja Rule's Twitter handle is @ruleyork. Follow him and send him some welcoming tweets. We will be giving you more details of his release shortly. Stay tuned!"
According to TMZ, the man born Jeffrey Atkins was released from Ray Brook Federal Prison in New York this morning, where he was picked up by his wife around 10 a.m. He will be on house arrest until July 28.
Ja Rule served two years for a gun charge and 28 months for tax evasion in New Jersey, which ran concurrently. The "Holla Holla" rapper was released from an upstate prison in February after completing his time for the gun charge but was immediately taken into federal custody for the tax dodging charges.
Ironically, as news of Ja's release arrives, yesterday Lauryn Hill was sentenced to three months in prison for tax evasion.
In early 2013, while incarcerated, Ja Rule released an album titled Pain Is Love 2.
Uh oh, Jay-Z may have just given Taylor Swift some new track material.
The music mogul, who is the executive producer of the star-studded "The Great Gatsby" film soundtrack, made a clear note of the 23-year-old country star in his lyrics possibly regarding her feud with his pal Kanye West.
In Jay’s song, “100$ Bill,” he implies that celebrities don't really have to behave because of the amount of money they make.
"That cheese made us constipated couldn't tell us s--t," he raps.
"Took that, Taylor Swift to a hundred f--king million, b---h" he says taking a jab at the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer.
If you plan on booking Beyonce & herMrs. Carter Show, get ready for a list of demands fit for a queen. Thanks to Australia's newspaper, The Telegraph, we've been clued in on a few of Queen Bey's demands, which some critics are calling "insane." But if you've ever seen Mrs. Carter live, we think she deserves WHATEVER she wants. So far, we've learned she's demanding the most. And we kinda love it.
$900 worth of titanium drinking straws for her dressing rooms (used to drink a special alkaline water that's served at exactly 21 degrees!)
Everyone in the crew must be dressed in clothes made of 100% pure cotton (to prevent her from having an allergic reaction)
The dressing room must be painted off-white
Every toilet (in each venue) must be brand new
Bathrooms are stocked only with red toilet paper
A hand-carved ice-ball (to cool her throat after performances)
Glass platters of almonds, oatcakes and green-only crudités (no junk food allowed)
And for her 2013 performance at the Super Bowl, she supposedly demanded Blue Ivy's $22,000 cedar crib be shipped from New York to New Orleans, and her personal dressing room be stocked with $6,000 worth of imported cigars and alcohol for Jay-Z.
The source defended Bey's demands saying,
"She's extremely regimented and is taking everything extremely seriously, so she expects her list of demands to be adhered too and every detail be taken in. Working so hard and with the toll the travel takes on her body in addition to the intense shows, she feels that her requests aren't too much to ask for as she wants to ensure everything goes to plan."
AGAIN....whatever Beyonce wants....Beyonce should get. And everyone will deal....
This lengthy message, which was posted to Antoine’s Facebook page, details his alleged decision to no longer live as a gay man and also reveals his new-found undying devotion to the Hebrew Israelite faith:
More than thirty students at a high school in California were recently suspended after they allegedly filmed and produced a twerk video with school equipment.
The school, Scripps Ranch High School, has suspended the students for 5 days for violating the school's sexual harassment policy. Suspended seniors also risk not being able to attend prom and graduation.
NBC San Diego reports that parents are arguing that the punishment was unfair and that the incident should have been used "as a teaching moment to remind students that when a person is videotaped, he/she never knows where it’s going to go."
How do you think these students should have been punished?
(TMZ) "Kris Kross" rapper Chris Kelly had been using a combination of cocaine and heroin the night before his death, this according to the police report obtained by TMZ.
According to the report, paramedics initially responded to Kelly's Atlanta home around 3 PM EST -- after his mother called 911 asking for medical assistance.
When help arrived, paramedics found 34-year-old Kelly lying on the living room couch -- unresponsive and with "no life signs." The medics attempted to revive Kelly, to no avail.
Kelly was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
After the death, cops spoke with Donna Kelly Pratt -- Chris' mother -- who told police ... the night before Kelly's medical emergency, he had taken a mixture of heroin and cocaine -- commonly known as "speedballs."
Donna told police she had personally taken Kelly home to recover from the drug use ... just as she had done several times before. Donna told cops Kelly had felt nauseous all morning before passing out.
According to the report, Kelly's mother and Kelly's uncle both told investigators the rapper had an "extensive history of drug use."
Hours before Kelly passed out, he had a phone interview with The Streetz Morning Grind radio show in ATL ... and sounded like he was in bad shape
ATLANTA —Chris Kelly, half of the 1990s kid rap duo Kris Kross who made one of the decade's most memorable songs with the frenetic "Jump," has died, according to authorities. He was 34.
Investigator Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office said the 34-year-old Kelly was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. Wednesday at the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center.
Honey said authorities are unsure of Kelly's cause of death and that an autopsy has yet to be performed.
Kelly, known as "Mac Daddy," and Chris Smith, known as "Daddy Mac," were introduced to the music world in 1992 by music producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri after he discovered the pair in an Atlanta mall. The duo wore their clothes backwards as a gimmick, but they won over fans with their raps.
Their first, and by far most successful song, was "Jump." The hit, off their multiplatinum 1992 debut album "Totally Krossed Out," featured the two trading versus and rapping the refrain, the song's title. The duo had surprising maturity in their rap delivery, though the song was written by Dupri. It would become a No. 1 smash in the United States and globally, and one of the most popular of that year.
Their success led to instant fame: They toured with Michael Jackson, appeared on TV shows, and even had their own video game.
The group was never able to match the tremendous success of their first song, though they had other hits like "Warm It Up," and "Tonite's tha Night."
Earlier this year, the group performed together to celebrate the anniversary of Durpri's label, So So Def.
