J. Coles the real jerk!

Wale more concerned with the competitive nature of music than he is with making money.

D.C. rapper Wale kicked off this week’s interview with The Breakfast Club by speaking on the recent controversy involving Complex magazine. While speaking on the incident, which involved the Maybach Music Group emcee threatening Complex staff, Wale revealed that he’s not in the music industry for the money and therefore takes more issue with not being included on roundups like Complex’s "50 Best Albums Of 2013" list.

He also questioned why he wasn’t nominated for a Grammy award for The Gifted when a Kendrick Lamar song that appeared on the NBA 2K14 soundtrack and was a good kid, m.A.A.d city bonus track did receive a nomination.

“I don’t care about the money, Joe. I like the sport, yo,” Wale said. “I played sports my whole life. So, I like the competitive nature. You know what I’m saying? I like the sport of rhyming. I want to have quadruple entendres on certain records. And everybody to be rewinding ‘em. And it be in the locker room or at the lunch table talking about ‘You heard what he said?’ That’s what I care about…It’s just a combination of things, but I’m in a place now where it’s like I’m at bat trying again to do it.”

Wale also spoke on meeting his grandfather for the first time while in Nigeria filming Revolt TV’s Wale: I Am From documentary. While speaking on Nigeria, the D.C. spitter also addressed those who feel he’d be more successful if he was more vocal about his Nigerian roots.

“So, I met my grandfather for the first time. So, it was really intense,” he said. “And I don’t really show that side of myself. I like to keep my personal life away. Y’all get my emotional, but y’all don’t really get the—y’all don’t know who I’m dating…I use my real, Nigerian name. That’s the first red flag of embracing it. You know what I’m saying? My first album I sampled a famous African record. Did a video for it. I’ve worked with Wizkid. I’ve worked with [Olamide]. I’ve worked with a lot of these people. Just because they not on the U.S. radar—I don’t know if I need to go Lil Wayne on niggas and put the tattoo of a Nigerian scripture, Nigerian Yoruba scriptures on the side of my face so they can be like ‘Yeah.’ I don’t know if I gotta come in wearing an agbada or something like that. But I do my best…That’s like Drake walking around with a yamaka.”

Towards the end of Wale’s interview with The Breakfast Club, he revealed that friend and fellow rapper J. Cole is “more of a jerk” than he is and accepted the fact that he’ll never be considered a media darling.

“People love Cole and Cole’s a jerk, yo,” Wale said. “That’s one of my best friends though, but Cole is a jerk too. He’s a jerk. He’s more of a jerk than me. He’s just quiet. He’s quiet. He’s light-skinned. I’m like black ass, D.C. loud…Let’s just let it be known now that I’m not gonna be a media darling. I’m not gon’ be Janelle Monae. You know what I’m saying? Janelle Monae talented as fuck. We can do the same amount of numbers, but she can get Good Morning America. A Saturday Night Live. She can get to sit on Letterman or something like that. We can do the same amount, but I ain’t getting none of that. So, I’ve accepted it.”

This week’s interview comes one month after a recorded phone call between Wale and Complexmagazine’s Insanul Ahmed was released online. During the roughly three-minute long conversation, Wale threatened to visit the publication’s office and “start knocking niggas the fuck out.”

"Fuck you, dog. You know it's disrespect. I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking niggas the fuck out,” the rapper said. “Y'all wanna see some ghetto ignorant shit? That's what y'all promote. That's the only thing y'all promote from niggas.”

One of the coolest pranks to date: 'Devil baby' terrifies New Yorkers

(New York Post) Some unsuspecting New Yorkers were scared out of their wits by a demonic robot baby hidden in what looked like an abandoned stroller – a shriek-inducing prank to promote the new horror flick Devil’s Due.

“Why would they do this?” shouts one man in a video clip about the prank after he took a peek into the stroller and the animatronic “devil baby” popped up and howled like a wild animal.
In the short video – aptly titled “Devil Baby Attack” – passersby notice the stroller and bend over to investigate.

The bald-headed, red-eyed little monster then pops out, shrieking and in some cases spewing a ghastly liquid from its mouth. Hidden cameras caught the priceless reactions. The baby was created by the techies at Thinkmodo, a new York-based viral video marketing outfit.
Devil’s Due opens in theaters on Friday.

Kanye West Allegedly Assaults 18-Year-Old Who Screamed to Kim Kardashian, "N****r Love

(TMZ) Kanye West just attacked an 18-year-old guy inside the waiting room of a chiropractor's office ... TMZ has learned.

Kanye and Kim were in Beverly Hills when they were swarmed by photogs.  We're told the 18-year-old came to Kim's rescue and held the door of a medical building open so she could get in.

As Kim walked, the guy allegedly said, "F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs"" -- referring to the paparazzi.  Kim then told him it was not appropriate to use the N-word.  We're told he then screamed at her, "F**k you bitch.  Just trying to help you.  Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut."

Apparently that got Kim hot as fish grease ... she watched the guy walk into an office.  A short time later Kanye arrived and went into the office.

Sources say Kanye and Kim rushed into the waiting room of chiropractor Richard Hill and found the 18-year-old sitting there.  Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, "We have it all on tape."

Sources say the massage therapist in the office separated the 2 men.  Beverly Hills cops were called and the 18-year-old said he wanted to press charges.

Rick Ross is Suing LMFAO for ripping off his lyrics

(Rollingstone.com) Rick Ross is suing LMFAO for copyright infringement, claiming the refrain "Everday I'm shufflin'" from the duo's 2010 chart-topper "Party Rock Anthem" rips off the Bawse's own lyric, "Everday I'm hustlin'" from his 2006 single "Hustlin,'" according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The use of 'Hustlin" in 'Party Rock Anthem' is readily apparent, despite the slight change from 'Everyday I’m hustlin'. . . 'to 'Everyday I’m shufflin'. . . " and constitutes, inter alia, the creation of an unauthorized derivative work," the lawsuit reads. To boot, the suit, which was filed in a Florida federal court, states that LMFAO's performance of the lyric is similar to Ross' making it "an obvious attempt to capitalize on the fame and success of 'Hustlin."

Ross and "Hustlin'" co-composer Jermaine Jackson (not of Jackson 5 fame) are seeking an injunction and maximum statutory damages from LMFAO. While no figure was given, the damages could amount to a substantial amount considering "Party Rock Anthem"'s massive sales figures (it's sold 7.5 million copies to date) and its use in various films, TV shows, video games and advertisements; the phrase in question has also appeared on T-shirts and other items in LMFAO's Party Rock Clothing line.

Welcome Planned After Michigan St. Wins Rose Bowl

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State University is getting ready to welcome back the Spartans following their Rose Bowl victory.

The East Lansing school’s athletics department says fans wishing to greet the football team should wait Thursday night at the Skandalaris Football Center. People are being asked to stay away from Lansing’s airport, since access to the team isn’t planned there.

No. 4 Michigan State beat No. 5 Stanford 24-20 Wednesday night.

East Lansing Fire Department Lt. Chuck Gagnier tells the Lansing State Journal it was “fairly quiet” in the hometown of the Spartans afterward. WLNS-TV reports five fires, mostly furniture burned outside. WILX-TV reports extra police patrols took place.

Last month, a rowdy celebration of Michigan State’s victory over Ohio State in the Big Ten championship included dozens of fires and prompted arrests.

Beyonce Angers People by Posing in Front of Jesus in 'Last Supper' Painting

Beyoncé has angered people with a picture that popped up on her Instagram.

The picture features the Queen herself blocking out Jesus in a painting of ‘The Last Supper’ and replacing him with — who else — Beysus.

Said snap has angered some of her fans who find the image in poor taste — intentional or not.

Commentary ranged from people being angry and claiming it’s blasphemy that Mrs. Carter would insinuate that she’s on the same footing as the Christian son of God, while others started yelling their usual cries of Illuminati.

Of course, there are also those who are more than willing to bow down to their new lord and savior, Beysus.

Offensive? Hilarious? You be the judge, Internet.
