The hip-hop/electronic collective consisting of Moe-T & Packi have been on the local music scene since Fall 2009. Releasing their first project titled The Never Ending Mixtape, the brotherly duo decided to take a different approach to the release of their music. With Packi handling the majority of the vocals, Moe-T would take on the production, mixing, and mastering. Recording all their music in-house, The Specktators would move on from their monthly releases to release a new project titled Finding Floss, in which their standout record “EL Girls” would prove to be a local hit. Fast forward to October 2011, Familiar With Floss would soon be released, with About That Life soon after. All leading up to their latest release of The Transition on iTunes, The Specktators are hitting the road to the West Coast this year. As they look to drop a new album by the end of 2013 while remaining 100% independent, the future is theirs for the taking.

Tay Rhodes hasn't been making music as long as you may suspect, but that's something you would never be able to tell with the way he rhymes. The 19-year-old would start out in Kalamazoo, but soon make his move to East Lansing. As he takes on his academics at Lansing Community College, Tay Rhodes is also maintaining his presence behind the mic. Kicking things off with the release of his first solo mixtape, The Missing Key, he found his niche. While recording all of his music at his home-studio, Tay Rhodes handles all of his production and engineering, while also combining his raps with his recently found ability to sing. Clinging to a conscious sound, Tay Rhodes writes about his life as a kid going through the everyday struggles of life, relatable to anybody who's been down the many paths life can lead. With plans to continue to grow and develop as an emcee, as well as a producer, Tay Rhodes wants to also put on for the environment that raised him.
