There are possibly 18 million things someone could spend $30,000 on that would benefit them, but this 24-year-old only has one ambition: to look like Kim Kardashian.
Claire Leeson, an Essex, England resident, revealed her hefty price tag to get breast implants, hair extensions, spray tans, makeup and clothing to mimick the reality star.
“I’ve had my teeth whitened, then I wanted my boobs enhanced … and with pictures [of Kardashian] explained to my surgeon that I wanted to look like this,” she told ITV’s “This Morning.” “I also wear bum padding — it’s a silicone base. Pants with silicone inside.”
Leeson says she went through the outrageous measures as an attempt to gain self-confidence after a life of bullying.
But why Kardashian? Leeson admits she began to admire the star when a friend said she resembled her. After watching the show and finding similarities in both physical appearance and family dynamics, she went through with the reconstruction.
The $30,000 transformation comes at a bigger price than the original price tag. Leeson admits she’s in debut “up to [her] eyeballs.” While she does have a job, she admits it’s not enough to pay for her obsession. “I’ve used credit cards to pay for everything. I’m in major debt. I say that I’m going to pay them but as soon as money comes in I just think about getting my Kimmy on,” she explained.
Getting her “Kimmy on” has allowed her confidence to grow. “I feel that I have built enough confidence to love myself a little bit more.”
She isn’t the first person to spend thousands to look like a celebrity. Let’s reminisce on the man who spent $100,000 to look like Justin Bieber.
