2022 Lansing Legend: Carmen Turner presented by MSUFCU

In her role as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing, Carmen Turner extends the lessons she taught her two daughters to the LOCAL children she works with every day. Beyond honoring their individuality, Carmen and her team empower the kids by providing access to a wealth of resources – including financial knowledge resources. Her work examines local/national responses to the pandemic in underserved communities as well as innovative collaboratives with community partners around education.

Carmen and her team regularly receive calls from school counselors thanking the Boys and Girls Club staff for their work with the LANSING-AREA kids.

turner is also an active member of the city of lansing mayor’s racial justice and equity alliance.
