Rachel Willis (Lewis) was elected to the Lansing School District Board of Education in November 2011 and currently serves as an Ingham County Commissioner. Mrs. Willis received her K-12 education in the Lansing School District and was a 2006 graduate and Valedictorian of Everett High School.  After high school Willis then went on to Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010. In 2015, Rachel returned to MSU and earned a Master's Degree in Social Work. Willis is currently employed by the State of Michigan in the Department of Health and Human Services as the Director of Division of Child Welfare Licensing. As a proud product of the Lansing School District, Mrs. Willis hopes to fill her tenure as a member of the Board of Education implementing new and innovative techniques to bring the Lansing School District into the 21st Century. Her goal is to ensure every child has the opportunity and support to reach the highest levels of achievement. Dream Big!
